A short drive from the hotel is Whinlatter Forest Park which is home to exhilarating mountain biking trails including the longest purpose-built mountain bike trails in the Lake District. It has the Cyclewise Shop and Bike Hire offering cycle parts, clothing, maintenance as well as new bike sales.
Or if it is road biking you're into, then the C2C cycle path and West Cumbria Cycle paths are not far from the hotel.
There are great opportunities for experienced climbers to climb throughout the Lake District, however if you are looking for instruction or the weather is not being too kind, there are indoor climbing walls to suit all abilities.

A great way to take in the stunning scenery of the Lake District is a relaxing trip out by boat on one of the lakes. Trips are available on Derwent Water, Ullswater, Coniston and Windermere.
Based in nearby Whinlatter Forest, Go-Ape is a network of rope bridges, trapezes and zip wires that stretches high above the forest floor through the tree canopy.

Based in Eskdale, West Lakes Adventure offer a wide range of outdoor adventure activities including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, abseilling, archery and ghyll scrambling.
There are plenty of opportunities to hire, boats, canoes and kayaks and enjoy the lakes from a different perspective. Not all Lakes have boat hire facilities and the nearest lake to Hunday Manor to hire boats and canoes is Derwentwater in Keswick.
